At the Dickson County Help Center Thrift Store, your shopping experience directly supports our mission of helping neighbors in need. Since April 1998, our store has generated funds to assist those in need while providing affordable shopping for everyone. With a diverse selection of clothing, shoes, accessories, baby items, household goods, furniture, antiques, books, and more, you’re sure to find something special.
Every item donated by through our donation center contributes to our mission of offering hope, extending compassion, and providing dignity. Our thrift store also provides an affordable option for those who may need help but are hesitant to reach out, ensuring they can access clothing and household supplies with dignity. At the Dickson County Help Center, we depend on generous donations from our community to continue our mission of helping neighbors in need. Your contributions of good, clean, resalable, and reusable items are essential to our efforts in supporting those less fortunate.

However, we kindly request that you refrain from using our facility to dispose of unusable items. Accepting such items creates a financial burden, as we must pay employees to sort and dispose of them, taking up valuable time that could be better spent serving our community.
Our goal is to accept donations that can either be sold in our Thrift Store or distributed through our Assistance Program, provided they are in good, reusable condition. To ensure this, we follow specific guidelines and reserve the right to refuse donations that we cannot sell or use or if we are at total capacity for receiving them.

Donations can be brought directly to our thrift store during business hours at our donation drop-off center located on N Mulberry Street, across from the historic post office.
Please prepare in advance to self-load all furniture purchased in our thrift store. If you are unable to self-load at the time of your purchase, please let our staff know. We will hold your item for 24 hours and release it upon presentation of your sales receipt.
Unfortunately, all sales are final at our thrift store. We ensure all items are in good condition before placing them on our sales floor. If you have any concerns, please speak with a staff member at the time of purchase.
We accept cash, credit, and debit cards for all purchases. Unfortunately, we do not accept checks at this time. If you have any questions about payment options, please ask one of our staff members.
Yes, we can provide a receipt for your donation upon request. Please ask a staff member when you drop off your items, and they will be happy to assist you.
The proceeds from the thrift store directly support the various programs and services offered by the Dickson County Help Center, including our food bank and emergency assistance. Additionally, the funds contribute to the Help Center's general operations, ensuring we can continue to serve our community effectively.
